November marks the end of so many things and the beginning on something new. Many of our fall sports athletes are wrapping up their seasons with hopes of making the post season. This is the month that we really see the fall foliage start to pop, and then the leaves blow away with the colder temperatures. In the next few weeks, we will also see the closing of a beautiful chapter here at Sound Sports Performance and Training.
Some of you may know that I've been battling with the greed of the landlord, inflation, and rising cost of goods like every business in the country. The time has come for me to make the executive decision to move on from our current location on 196th St. For three in a half years, this has been our 3rd place, but irreconcilable differences with the building owner are causing this decision to move forward with a dream... and that dream is BIGGER!
I can't keep the cat in the bag anymore! We are expanding again and staying in Lynnwood!!! It's been a long time coming, but we were able to agree upon a Letter of Intent with a new building across from the Business Costco on Highway 99. More details to come, but just know that New Year 2025 will be special! Until then, here's what's going on in and around the gym:
*Please don't forget tobset your clocks (the non digital ones anyway) Sunday as Daylight Savings Time has ended.
*November 5- Election Day. Vote!! Speaking of voting locally, Sound Sports Performance and Training is once again in the running for Best of Lynnwood. Vote! Sound Sports Performance and Training is in the Health category. I don't care who else you vote for on there after you vote for us lol

*Toys for Tots is back, and we have bigger goals this year. In 2023, we were able to bring over 200 toys to kids in need as we help support the Marine Corp Reserve annual toy drive. Please help up fill these 3 boxes this year with a new and unwrapped toy. Some incentives apply (I just dont know what they are right now, lol). The last day to donate is December 7.
*Speaking of Marines, HAPPY 248TH BIRTHDAY to all of my fellow Jar Heads who served in the past, currently serving, and those who will be the future of the USMC. Semper Fi Devil Dogs!!
*November 10 & 11- USMC Birthday and Veterans Day. Thank you to all of our servicemembers who have sacrificed so much to give us the basic civil liberties we enjoy today.
*Yall might not see me as much this month as I will be preparing the gym for the move, parent/teacher conferences, and taking my son, Quinten Brooks, to his 2nd consecutive State Cross Country meet. The next weekend, I'll also be taking him to run at the Nike Regional meet on Boise, Idaho, in hopes of making it to their National Meet.
*Thanksgiving day workouts-yep, we'll be here. I know some will be out beating their father-in-law for the first time in a Turkey Trott, bit for those who wanna thrown down before they throw down, the facility will be open till noonish (prob will make an exception if you REALLY wanna come).
As always, I love yall and I'll see you at training!
