Spring time is here in the PNW, and I hope you all are enjoying Easter, Spring Break, sping cleaning, and some much needed sunshine! Many of you have told me you are hard at work in your gardens or repotting plants, and I'm here for it!
We are also in the process of doing some "spring cleaning" and creating new projects to take on for the rest of the year. Here are the highlights with details:

Tues to Saturday April 9-12: I will be taking my kids to Arizona for spring break. Coach Austin and Contractor Breezy will also be out of town, so the gym will be closed those days. Sorry for the inconvience, but it does give everyone some time to rest and recharge so that we may come back better for you!

Saturday and Sunday April 27-28: We are still hoping to host the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) Exam Prep clinic here at Sound Sports Performance and Training. It's not looking to favorable that this will happen due to low enrollment, but no one can say that we didn't try. Fingers crossed we can still make this happen...

Saturday May 4- 3rd Annual Kentucky Derby at the Cove. Come out and watch the Sophmore (the term for a 3 year old horse in the derby) run in the "Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports". We will meet at the Cove Restruant and Lounge (402 164th St SW #106, Lynnwood, WA 98087) around 2:30pm to fellowship, place your bets, and drink some mint juleps! We have some new prizes for the winners this year, and it's sure to be a fun time together.

Saturday May 18- Come join Coach Austin and Assistant Coach Quinten Brooks for a free fun family event at Edmonds Stadium. The Edmonds Health and Fitness Expo will go from 10am-1pm. Assistant Coach Quinten and friends will be leading the warmup for the fun around 1130, and Coach Austin will be representing Sound Sports Performance and Training with an interactive booth. Bring your kids and show your support!

Saturday May 18- Coach Fed will be hosting the NSCA WA State Clinic at Henry Jackson High School in Mill Creek. We have speakers coming from all over the state to speak on all things strength and conditioning and fitness related. This event is open to anyone, and registration is now open! Register at the link below by May 7 for early bird pricing!
