What a beautiful past couple of days! It looks like spring is officially in the air here in Lynnwood, and we are here for it. Longer days, more sunshine, and a whole lot of opportunity to get better. Don’t forget to set your clocks forward on March 8 — we’re springing ahead!
🌼 Spring Sports Season is Here
Spring means tryouts, competition, and fresh starts. We have athletes competing in:
- Track & Field
- Middle School Wrestling
- Soccer
- Baseball
- Softball
To all of you preparing for tryouts — good luck. Trust your training. Stay confident. Compete with composure. The work you’ve been putting in will show.
🥎 Special Shoutout: Fury 14U Black
A huge congratulations to our Fury 14U Black Softball Team on completing 9 weeks of training with us. It’s always a pleasure watching you compete on Saturdays and seeing your hard work translate to the field.
Best of luck to those heading into tryouts on Monday — you’re ready.
🎓 A Chapter Closes… and Another Begins
Spring also brings transition.
It is with great sadness (for now) that we say goodbye to Coach Johnny. Your impact here goes far beyond sets and reps. You’ve helped build culture, relationships, and confidence in so many athletes.
We wish you nothing but success in your next chapter — and you always have a home here at Sound Sports.
With that being said…
👏 Welcome Coach Maddie!
We are excited to officially welcome Coach Maddie, whose first official day is Monday. When you see her, make sure to show her some love and help her feel at home. We’re confident she’s going to be an incredible addition to the team.
📢 We’re Growing
As we continue to grow, I’ll be putting out some job postings this month for:
- Additional coaching support
- Potential front desk / administrative help
Behind the scenes, we’ve also been working on digitizing our standard operating procedures. You may have heard the phrase:
“Systems over Superstars.”
While we value great people (and we have some amazing ones), sustainable growth comes from strong systems. We’re building processes that allow us to serve you better, communicate more clearly, and create consistency across the board.
Growth isn’t accidental — it’s intentional.
🏋️ From the State Director’s Corner
The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) will be hosting another Regional Conference, and as a State Director, I will be traveling to Eugene to attend one of four simultaneous Performance Summits.
Theme: Athleticism For Life
This summit will include:
- A tour of the iconic Hayward Field on Friday
- Talented speakers covering topics ranging from GLP-1 medications to working with autistic athletes
It’s shaping up to be an incredible learning opportunity and a chance to bring back even more value to our athletes and community.
If you’re interested in attending, you can register here:

📍 Washington State Clinic – May 2, 2026
At the state level, I am actively planning the Washington State Clinic for the NSCA. My advisory board and I have:
- Secured the venue
- Finalized the speaker lineup
- Launched the registration link
We will be traveling to Pullman to host this clinic at Washington State University on May 2, 2026.

We’re excited about the continued growth of strength and conditioning professionals here in Washington.
🎉 The Biggest Announcement… IT’S TIME TO CELEBRATE!
Sound Sports Performance & Training is reaching a huge milestone.
I founded this company back in 2016 with a handful of personal training clients while contracting out of someone else’s gym. Fast forward 10 years… and we are still here today.
None of this success would be possible without all of you.
You’ve navigated change, growth, frustrations, and progress alongside me — and I can’t thank you enough for it.
📅 Official Anniversary: March 6
🎉 Anniversary Party: March 26, 2026
🕓 Party starts at 4pm
We’ll kick things off with a ribbon cutting for all three Triton Court businesses alongside the Mayor of Lynnwood.
🍽️ Food & Entertainment
- Appetizers catered by Navi's Kitchen
- Charcuterie boards from Whippoorwill Grazing Co
- Entertainment by DJ Nathin Nice
Please RSVP by March 12 so we can ensure there’s enough food for everyone.

💪 Keep Showing Up
Spring is a season of momentum. Whether you're chasing a roster spot, building strength in the offseason, or just showing up consistently for yourself — this is your reminder:
Stay disciplined. Stay consistent. Trust the process.
We appreciate every athlete, parent, and adult client who walks through our doors. Thank you for being part of the Sound Sports family.
Let’s make this March one to remember.
