Sound Sports Performance & Training - December Newsletter

Happy December, Sound Sports Family!

By the time you all walk back into the facility, it’s going to feel like a completely new place. Huge shoutout to Scott, Gordon, and Brad for coming in on a Sunday and getting after it 💪🏽. They installed FOUR brand-new Matrix squat racks and also hooked up the shelving for our dumbbells, stability balls, and bumper plates.

The only “problem” (and it’s a good one to have 😂) is that we may almost have too much equipment. Over the course of this week, we’ll be organizing and rearranging things to improve the flow and overall smoothness of the facility. Trust me—it’s going to feel really good once everything is dialed in.

🚧 Facility & Inspection Update

We are soooooo close to being officially open.

Here’s where we’re at:
✅ Final inspections passed for drywall, electrical, and plumbing
Fire inspection pending

Apparently, the strobes in the unit are connected to a PA system, and it wasn’t functioning properly. The fire department came back out the very next day and fixed the issue. We’re hoping the fire marshal will be back out this week to give us the green light.

Once that passes, we face the final boss—the city’s final inspection. I’m very confident this last step won’t be an issue since we’ve already passed everything else.

🎄 Jingle & Mingle Holiday Party

Be on the lookout for an invitation to our Annual Jingle & Mingle Holiday Party!

This is a potluck-style celebration where we reflect on the year, set goals for the next one, and most importantly—fellowship with your gym family. Since December is flying by, we’re planning to hold it on:

📅 January 10th

Flyers will be circulating around the gym soon with dates and times, so keep an eye out!

We will still be collecting Toys for Tots all the way up January 10 and deliver them after the Jingle and Mingle party.

🏋🏽‍♀️ Training Update: Team Training Has Arrived!

We are beyond excited to welcome our first official team to Sound Sports Performance.

Please help us welcome the girls of Fury 14U Black! Coaches Brandon and Cathy Warnock have trusted us to be the strength and conditioning coaches for their 14U softball team.

Shoutout to my guy Jeremy Kirschner, who blessed us with his VALD Force Plates so we could conduct pre-training testing for all athletes. We’re excited to see what an 8-week strength training intervention can do for their performance.

📆 Upcoming Facility Closures / Modified Hours

Please plan accordingly:

  • December 24 – Limited hours, but still open
  • December 25 – Closed for Christmas Day
  • December 31 – Limited hours, but still open
  • January 1 – TBD, but limited hours if we are open
