Summer is winding down, and while we’ve loved having so many of our youth athletes in the gym over the past few months, we know a lot of parents (and coaches) are ready for back-to-school season.
- September 1 is Labor Day
- September 3 is when most school districts report back
- Colleges kick off in the second or third week of September
We love our kids… but it’s time for them to hit the books and get back into their school-year training schedules!
Construction Updates: Bigger, Better, Cooler
For those who’ve been sweating it out in the summer heat at our current location—good news: the new facility has AC!
The HVAC installation is complete, so now we’re moving on to wiring and inspections. Today, I’m meeting with contractors to finalize the next phase: framing, drywall, and plumbing. We’re making progress every week, and we can’t wait to share the new space with you.

We’re once again the host site for this National Strength and Conditioning Association crash course on the Essentials of Strength & Conditioning. I’ll be serving as facilitator, teacher, and mentor for those working toward their Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist credential.

Business Impact NW’s Impact Pitch Competition
We’ve made it through two rounds—now we’re waiting to see if we’ll advance. In 2023, we took home the Crowd Favorite Award for Best Marketing Video. This year, we’re aiming for the grand prize!

I’ll be presenting “Freshman First: Coaching Cues for the Incoming High School Athlete Who’s Never Touched a Barbell”—a practical guide for coaches introducing strength training to youth athletes.
Final Note
As we push toward the last quarter of the year, we’re not slowing down. Between the events, competitions, and the new facility build-out, 2025 is shaping up to be our most exciting year yet.
