Yall know how this goes...the leaves start to turn colors. The air gets a little nippy...the crock pot starts to make its way out of the cupboard and the extra blanket at the foot of the bed starts to drape us at night. Yep, summer is officially over, and Autum has moved in for the time being.
The beginning of the 4th quarter ain't so bad though. Your hikes are a little cooler now. Football, volleyball, soccer, and cross-country season is in full swing. And now you get a chance to make that special soup (literally the only time I eat butternut squash :)). This is also the time of year where we get comfortable in our PJs or sweats, lazy in our routines, and the darkness can alter our behaviors.
It's easy for us to let this session slide or put off training for a few days during this time, but one thing I will encourage you all to think about it this: Go back and revisit your goals. What are you training for? Why is your health and fitness important to you? How do I get stronger if I don't build my consistency? As always, I'll be here to help hold you accountable for those goals. Let's hit this fourth quarter hard!
He's what's happening around the gym:
October 9-12: Fed will be attending the Vigor Fitness & Business Summit down in Renton. "The Vigor Ground Fitness and Business Summit is a powerful 3-day event for coaches and fitness professionals who want to build a profitable and scalable business they love; that has a big impact!" It's a good thing I already love you all, myself, and my business, but it will be nice to go network and learn a few things from some of the best in the business.
October 13: Alaska Airlines Dawg Dash will be blessed to have Coach Austin in attendance. I did ask Austin if he is running the 5K (because if you know Austin, he ain't built to run lol), but he emphatically assured me that he was just doing the walk. If you're there, say hello to your coach!
All of October: October is the time for high school homecoming, fall sport playoffs, and AP exams for our students. Good luck to you all!
Speaking of good luck, I wanted to update you all about the Imagine Gala I attended a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, I did not win Businessman of the Year, but I know there is a chance to win it next year! We will continue to get better and try to find ways to give back to the community.
If you like what we do, I would love for you to vote us Best of Lynnwood. Scan the QR Code below or go to the link here.
