What a time to be alive! This month is jam packed with some many fun and exciting things. It's a time to celebrate, to honor, to cheer, and to make new beginnings. Let's celebrate together!

What are we celebrating actually? Well, let's start with the small victories. The small or large gains you have made in your fitness journey. The committment you all have had to staying active and healthy. The marvels of medicine (because I know the pollen is kickin some of our asses!). Let's celebrate our mothers because with them, there would be no us! Let's cheers to new beginnings after graduation. Let's celebrate the thaw of the cold as we move into warmer months and bask in the beauty of spring!

With Justin Timberlake in town, I am sure soooo many 90s boy ban fans have been itching to say, "It's gonna be May" while the Star Wars junkies are saying, "May the 4th be with you". Maybe you're holding off to have that margiritta until Cinco de Mayo or just waiting to pour one out for a fallen servicemember come Memorial Day. Whatever your reason to celebrate in May, I would love to celebrate with you!

I personally want to invite you all out to come our first community celebration. For the past three years, we have met at The Cove Restruant and Lounge in Lynnwood to watch the Kentuky Dirby. What started off as a stop into my local watering hole for some lunch has now turned into an annual fun event where we watch some unconventional athletes race. My hope is that some of you can come out for some fun, fellowship, prizes, and excitment watching the 2year olds race in the "Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports" on Saturday May 4.

Here is a list of other things to participate and celebrate with us this month:

Saturday May 4- 3rd Annual Kentucky Derby at the Cove. Come out and watch the Sophmore (the term for a 3 year old horse in the derby) run in the "Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports". We will meet at the Cove Restruant and Lounge (402 164th St SW #106, Lynnwood, WA 98087) around 2:30pm to fellowship, place your bets, and drink some mint juleps! We have some new prizes for the winners this year, and it's sure to be a fun time together.
